An Analysis of the most serious grounds of administrative charges decided by the Supreme Court against Regional Trial Court judges as found in the SCRA from 1994-2003
This study analyzed the most serious grounds of administrative charges proven against Regional Trial Court judges. It focused only on decided cases involving proven administrative charges of the Supreme Court for the period 1994-2003 as found in the Supreme Court Reports Annotated (SCRA). Results of the study showed that Gross Misconduct and Gross Ignorance of the Law were the most serious administrative charges proven against Regional Trial Court judges from 1994-2003. Other judges were guilty of Immorality, Knowingly Rendering an Unjust Judgement, Violation of Anti-graft and corrupt Practices aCt, Willful Failure to Pay Just Debt and Bribery.
