Qualitative in its orientation, this study delved into students' functionality understood in the light of the dynamics of home-school-community's collaborative partnership. This study described Filipino families being grounded on relationships regardless of time and reality context while stressing experiential dynamics of self-worth, communication, rules and links to society which generated and crystalized emerging family systems, types of relationships and parenting peculiarities. The recognition of the presence of stressors in today's Filipino family is a generalizable principle that is true to every growing relationship. The universalizable assessment that in every existing relationship there is also the presence of strengths and weaknesses that challenges every member's response to the call towards living peacuful lives and establishing harmonious relationship has been clarified. This research undertaking has described how self-worth, communication, rules and link to society are being operationalized by the Filipino family of today. Metaphors of schoolign and the roots of the "culture of caring" were identified and ascertained as to its development in the family, in the school and the community.
