This study is an attempt to meet the challenge of modernization in the area of formation of the members of an institute of apostolic life, known in the Church as the Company of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. Specifically, it seeks to propose a personalized formation program based on assessments of how the Daughters of Charity of the Philippine Province respond to the demands of their vocation, and also an assessment of the present formation program. The first assessment covers the three dimension of the vocation of the Daughters of Charity, namely, the human-communitarian dimension, the spiritual dimension and the apostolic dimension. It considers the Sisters' age, vocational level, type of work and size of community. The second assessment covers both the initial and ongoing stages of formation and considers the components of objectives, content, methods and approaches, personnel and evaluation.
