Its primary purpose is to evaluate five selected post-secondary vocational-technical schools in the Philippines based on their economic system from the school year 1975-1976 up to 1979-1980. Utilizing the systems approach as theoretical framework for evaluation, the descriptive analytical method was employed to describe and interpret the findings of the study. A questionnaire was also utilized and interviews were conducted to augment data that cannot be elicited from primary sources, and finally, a detailed cost analysis was carried out to answer the research questions posted. Based on the findings, it was concluded that like the Technological University of the Philippines, the AUF-Polytech School and UST Institute for Technological Courses shown financial stability because they are adjuncts to the bigger departments which support them. On the contrary, the National Radio School and La Union Technical School exist on a submarginal financial level.
