This study aims to present more than just knowledge of the growth and influence of local political parties. It intends to impart a clearer perspective of the manner in which the past leaders used political devices to attain their own good even, perhaps, to the detriment of the country. In trying to obtain the proper local perspective of the influence of political parties, the writer took a poll of all walks of life; servants, teachers, lawyers, laborers and members of the Supreme Court. Politicians and non-politicians were quizzed, educated and uneducated, rich and poor, so that it is believed the decisions, conclusions and suppositions are politically sound.
