This study examined twenty (20) selected songs of Gary Granada as poems using close textual reading. Emphasis was given on content where the utopian vision is made apparent, with the form discussed only if it has bearing on the meaning. Critical attention was given to the interpretative analysis of Granada's imagery, symbolism and effective use of figures of speech (metaphors and ironies were widely used) as these have shed light to the underlying message of utopia made prevalent in the texts. An unstructured interview with Gary Granada was undertaken for the proper validation of the study's findings and to gather the poet's feedbacks and comments. Findings indicate that Granada's concept of utopia is very much related to the possible and is not an abstract end. This study proves to be significant for as catalysts of social change and regeneration, the teachers of literature will be able to provide students with an objectification of the ideal through Granada's construction of utopia.
