The strength and power of the Philippine Presidency is clearly written in the Constitution. This power of the President has developed through the years with a remarkable trend toward its expansion. This trend of power, glory and prestige attached to the Philippine Presidency (1960s-1970s) was chosen to be the focal point of this study and an analysis of the major powers of the President has been presented to look for a Presidential Power that need to be amended or completely revised in order to minimize—if not to prevent – excesses in their power.
