Abstract	This research attempts to document the development of women's organizations in the Philippines and its contributions in the making of Philippine history. It is focused only to women's groups which were organized in the Manila area and starts from the time they took to active social welfare work in the 1900s and ends with the emergence of new women's groups in 1984. The study is limited to a general discussion of women's groups, highlighting only certain groups as the need arises.
