This work is an attempt to present in some orderly forms the prevailing doctrines and recognized principles of conflict of laws, a division of the subject of “international law” which is frequently called “private international law.” These touches upon every conceivable field of private law and is presented into chapters with the insertion of Philippine context which deal quite independently of separate subjects of law with an attempt to provide modern views or trend of decisions on different points without sacrificing the theories that have received the acquiescence of the past.
