This is not a treatise on man. Neither is it a record of his success in conquering the forces of nature. This is rather an exposition of the causes that impel men to rise against the constituted authority and by force of arms demand the establishment of a new order of things. It also analyzes socio-economic conditions in the Philippines and dwells on the most important social legislations now forming the background of the policy of social justice embodied in the constitution. It discusses the nature, meaning and scope of the constitutional mandate regarding the promotion of social justice in the Philippines and establishes the conclusion that this mandate, predicated on a factual condition, fills an imperative need in the life of the people.
