This study is concerned mainly with the settlement of labor disputes and its application on the part of the government's role in the settlement of labor strife. Specifically, this investigation is concerned mainly with the following problems: (1) to trace the different causes of labor disputes, differences and all other frictions thereof; (2) to study the different methods of settling labor disputes; (3) to determine how strikes or lockouts affect the country's economic progress; (4) to determine the policy to be adopted by the government in settling labor disputes; and (5) to study and determine how to prevent or reduce the occurences of strikes and lockouts.
