This study aims: (1) to present in one full grasp all the existing pieces of legislation, government regulations and policies concerning the manner and the conditions by which foreign corporations could do business in the Philippines; (2) to organize into a comprehensive, orderly compendium all relevant and significant decisions of Philippine and American courts pertaining to foreign corporations with the ultimate end in view of laying down definite patterns of Philippine and American jurisprudence in this regard; (3) to stress certain factors which may induce or discourage foreign corporations from doing or discontinuing to do business in the Philippines, among which factors are the problem of taxation and entry of alien technicians; and (4) to suggest ways and means by which both foreign corporations and the Filipino people could realize maximum beneficial results from their joint venture in Philippine trade and business.
