Since the Philippines won its independence in 1946, she has adopted and enumerated policies to insure the territorial security of the country, to promote the welfare and prosperity of the people and to provide for the political stability of her government. However, there are political leaders in the country who have not realized that the foreign policy of a state in times of peace and in war is mostly conditioned by the facts of geography. This study aims to determine the impact of Philippine geography on foreign policy with the following objectives: (1) to trace the influence and effect of geography if any in the formulation of Philippine foreign policies and (2) to examine whether such policies will contribute to the peace and security of the country.
