Population, education and employment as determinants of Philippine economic development : a regional/national empirical analysis and some policy implications
The behavior of the growth and development of the population taken alone or together with the other independent variables of the economic development models is observed through the results of the regression runs to cast a significant influence on the regional/national economic development of the Philippines for the decades after Independence from the United States of America. This study is centered on the degree and kind of influence or effect the population, education and employment as defined exert on economic development of the regions and/or the nation either taken singly or the three together in the Philippines for the period under review.
