This study is an attempt to sketch graphically the civilization of the Filipinos before the advent of cultural influences from Spain and America with the mellowing colors of historico-anthropological facts culled from both old and modern sources. This civilization was mirrored in the early government, society, customs, beliefs, religion, art, music, literature, clothing, habitation, foods, commerce, industries, agriculture, morals, education, and science which the Spaniards found in the Philippine Islands. The author assume with fair degree of probability, if not certitude, that some sort of civilization apparently existed in the Islands before the arrival of the white men.
