The subject of this study is the approach of the government to the so-called Muslim problem. It concentrates on the major efforts of the government from January, 1973 to December, 1976. It also covers a viewing of the Muslim problem in historical perspective. In discussing the advent and spread of Islam, the writer intended to show the role religion has played in the life of a people and the part played by religious affiliation in a multi-faceted problem. She also viewed the significance of each classification of efforts in relation to at least a partial, if not complete solution of the Muslim problem.
