This study is an attempt to discuss systematically and comprehensively the relationship between the Philippines and Germany in terms of their economic, political, cultural, social and religious aspects from 1871 to 1972. The work is divided into eleven chapters, mutually complimentary, studied and analyzed in their chronological set-up. The sources of information and materials for which this work is largely based upon, were derived from different Eglish and German documents, monographs, books, reports, articles as well as interviews, questionnaires and personal letters both in the Philippines and in the Federal Republic of Germany. The conclusions contain a retrospect and prospect, a general historical analysis of the past relationship, in relation however to present and future Philippine-German relationship.
