Abstract	The study looked into the perceptions of AFP officers on the Philippine development goals as exemplified in the Philippine National Development Plan. The descriptive method of research was utilized since the study dealt with the perceptions of the respondents. The target respondents for the study were the AFP officers mostly studying in military institutions. Based on the findings, the military officers and the AFP can be brought in line with the development scheme of the government. The congruence of perceptions between the AFP officers and the government constitutes a base of support for the government. It eliminates the AFP as a serious threat to the government and makes it a potential group to be mobilized to spur its developmental efforts.
