The purpose of this study is to bring to light the extent of the growth and development of the Augustinian Recollect Missionaries as a teaching Congregation. The writer used the historical or documentary and normative-survey methods of research to arrive at a more comprehensive knowledge of the past events as well as the current ones. It was concluded that the progress of the Congregation was rather slow from the early part of the eighteenth century to the latter part of the nineteenth century. Gradually, it grew faster in the late twenties. Apparently, the growth and development of the Augustinian Recollect Missionaries, as a teaching Congregation, is amazing; yet, there are existing problems that must be resolved.
