Nurses' spiritual well-being and extent of patient's satisfaction in selected hospitals of Kalimantan, Indonesia : basis for development spiritual health care programs
This study sought to assess the nurses' spiritual well-being and to determine the level of patients' satisfaction with the spiritual care given by the nurses in the selected hospitals of Kalimantan, Indonesia. It also looked into some variables and how these influenced the perceptions of the respondents on the level of their well-being for nurses and service satisfaction for the patients. These variables included marital status, gender, age, religious affiliation, length of employment of the nurses, and length of confinement of the patients. The study also examined the existence of differences in the perceptions of the respondents on their well-being and satisfaction, nurses and patients respectively, with respect to the included demographic variables. This research aimed at proposing a spiritual health care program for nurses with a firm hope that the program would strengthen their spiritual well-being.
