This Mapa General was henceforth updated and printed every year in Sampaloc from 1831 to 1837. In 1838, and 1842, 1845 and 1848 it was printed in Manila. Father Díez worked actively for the restitution of the Malate parish to the Augustinians. Manuel Miranda was, as H. Díez, from Valladolid and worked in the Philppines from 1797 to 1830, with a break in Spain (1818-1826) to take charge of the Colegio de Valladolid. He worked in Ilocos during his first years, to be moved after 1805 to the Tagalog speaking area. He also published two Sermon (Manila, 1815) and (Valladolid, 1825). This book is rare and includes an interesting catafalque drawn by Juan Atlas and engraved by Jose Maria Gorricho, with its description.
